Appointments:

All Consultations are strictly by appointment only. Initial consultations are face to face to allow physical examination.

Before your initial appointment, an information booklet and  questionnaires will be mailed or emailed out for you to complete at home and bring with you to your first appointment. In many cases a pathology request form can be sent as well. Please also bring any relevant old test results with you.

Initial appointments will be  1.5 - 2.0 hours.

If you are seeing Dr David Richardson, you will spend 30 - 60minutes with another staff member who will take a detailed medical history and set up your computer records. The remaining time will be with Dr Richardson.

Please bring any test results you have.

Fees:

Fees are payable at the time of consultation, cash, cheque (made payable to Dr Richardson) or EFTPOS is accepted.  This practice IS NOT A BULK BILLING PRACTICE.

Initial consultation $500 of which a little over $100 is reclaimable from Medicare. This is because of the length of the consult and amount of work we do for you prior to even seeing you.

Subsequent consultations $100 – $180 depending on length and type of consult. All but $70 - $80 is reclaimable.

Patients are required to pay in full. To claim your Medicare rebate you can:

    1) Go to your local Medicare office OR

    2) If you have registered you bank account details with Medicare the rebate will be deposited into your bank account in 2-3 working days.

50% cancellation fees apply if appointments are cancelled with less than 24hours notice. (Not rebatable).
